You all fail at submitting Holiday-related photos as I requested. Luckily I found this shot where there is a lot of snow, which is somewhat appropriate.

Plus it’s cool because the submitter writes, “Goodness, I wish you could see my face better. But I’m reading Hemingway’s “Snows of Kilimanjaro” in the snows of Kilimanjaro!”

Neat-o. Plus his leg is hot.

Was talking about this to a boy the other day….can you be female without being feminine? Is femininity something that only women can possess? Or are women, at least, more attracted to this state of being than their male counterparts? Or does femininity represent all those myths about women that aren’t really true? Like seemingly legitimating our subjugation by men, right? Like wearing shoes so high you can’t run, let alone walk properly. Like wearing a skirt so short or a top so low that men can’t but help showing their appreciation, even if you didn’t ask for it. Like for me, if femininity represents the “ideal woman” (whatever that is), I hate it. Because women don’t have to be the weaker, prettier, quieter, less well paid sex. I mean, if all femininity means is “having female traits” then I don’t think it can nor should it be defined: the range of different women’s personalities and characters are too broad. Sex shouldn’t define you.
